JAY
BAUTISTA
BMBASEMENT does not believe in stereo-types. This belief extends
throughout their line. It is a plain expression of youth and
living; of breaking barriers and crossing lines to promote
understanding and unity. “We see people from all cultures
who relate to our clothing line” says founder Jay Bautista
and co-partner, Arnold Espiritu.
Launched
from the greater Los Angeles area in 1995, BMBASEMENT has
always kept to simplicity, opting for classic, clean, quality
fashion. The line’s graphics pay homage to the creative
ideas, inspiring people, and pivotal events that made their
mark on this generation; or as Jay and Arnold put it, “Giving
props to an era whose innovation yielded opportunities for
the ones to come.”
For the
future Jay & Arnold foresee BMBASEMENT maintaining it’s
commitment to being a constructive force; to providing simple
yet detailed streetwear made from quality materials and offered
at a fair price. BMBASEMENT can be found at GreyOne, RedFive,
Carve, Vice, Fred Segal, Avenue O.C., Selfish, Indigo Flower,
on Digital Gravel.com, and in select boutiques in Japan, London,
Germany, Denmark, Italy, New Zealand, and Hong Kong.
