Kevin
Lyons, designer
After receiving his Master’s degree in Design from CalArts
in ‘96 Kevin Lyons went on to freelance for Nike, filmmaker
Spike Jonze’s Girl Skateboard Company, Jordan Brand,
Adidas, Stussy and NYC art & clothing company/design studio,
SSUR, where he is a partner. He recently completed a two year
stint as the Art Director for Urban Outfitters, Inc. in Philadelphia
and since ’98, has also designed the urban Japanese
Magazine, Tokion where he holds the title of Art Director.
In 2000, I.D. Magazine named Kevin one of the top forty designers
under thirty. He lives in Brooklyn where he maintains a small
experimental project / company called Natural Born and teaches
Typography at the Pratt Institute. Kevin is also currently
at work on two books: one an underground history of urban
T-shirt graphics entitled Cease and Desist; and the other,
a graphic book of written words

bored with the market and merchandise controlled by mega brands.
The company is determined to introduce the best and most unique
artists to the global youth culture network through T-shirts.
